Stacey is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Olivine Health Network and has held many leadership roles during her tenure in several hi-tech companies in Toronto, Canada. Born and raised in Georgetown, Guyana. Stacey earned placement at Queen’s College and later went on to pursue a Bachelor’s of Science Degree at the University of Guyana, where she majored in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. Upon graduating from UG in 1997, she continued her work at BioMed Lab at the Woodland’s Hospital and accepted a promotion as Administrative Manager. After migrating to Canada, Stacey was recruited by Dell and held many leadership roles throughout her tenure there. She was consistently recognized as a high performer this led to her taking on several multi-disciplinary leadership roles across various departments. Stacey continued to expand her career across other industries including financial and Hi-Tech companies. Stacey has very strong beliefs in working with charitable organizations and over the last three decades, she has continued to sit on several boards to support various causes. Stacey is currently the President of Queen’s College Alumni Association of Toronto, the President of the International Committee for Queen’s College to name a few.

Ms. Dian Bourne is an attorney-at-law, administrator and a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) leader. She has extensive cross-cultural competence, and a passion for developing holistic workplace DEI strategies and programs to remove barriers, improve workplace culture, increase performance, and ensure accountability. Her passion/purpose is investing in human capital; affording people the opportunity to maximize their full potential while being their authentic selves.
Dian has held several senior leadership positions both in the private and public sector. She has worked with C-Suite executives and senior government officials including Ministers, Ambassadors and Heads of State. She is an effective communicator who builds strong relationships and gains stakeholder buy-in. These skills were invaluable as the Head of the Legal Department in negotiating international treaties and agreements on behalf of a nation state. Also, as a leader in the financial services industry working and consulting with stakeholders, and drafting legislation which was enacted balancing private and public sector interests. Dian is a lifelong learner who places a premium on education and excellence. Her educational background includes a BA in Economics from Fordham University in New York City, New York, a Doctor of Jurisprudence from The University of Miami, Coral Gables, Florida and a Certification in Leading Diversity, Equity and Inclusion from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. She likes being of service to others, and especially enjoys mentoring younger people.
Dian will always find the time to offer assistance: whether it is preparing for a college admission standardized exam, reviewing a college application, editing a personal statement, writing a letter of recommendation, or advising on a career path. If she is unable to help, she will find and direct you to the resources you need to succeed. She lives by the motto “To whom much is given; much will be required.”

Dr John Farley
Epidemiologist & CEO Medical Clinics, Canada

Dr. John Farley
Dr John Farley was born in Guyana. He received his undergraduate degree in Biology (Hons) from the University of Waterloo, Waterloo, Ontario. He then studied medicine at the University of Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria and received his MBBS in 1979. He did his speciality training Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Alberta, and went on to train as an epidemiologist with the Health Canada Field Epidemiology Program.
Dr Farley has a distinguished career in medicine and communicable diseases control with many publications in peer reviewed journals. He was a clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of British Columbia. In 1987 he became the Provincial Epidemiologist at the British Columbia Centre for Disease Control where he spearheaded a campaign to have all Grade 6 students in the province vaccinated for Hepatitis B. This was the beginning of the Universal Hepatitis B Vaccine Program in the province. He also introduced the training program and mentored students from the University of Victoria school of Health Sciences Information and Technology at the BCCDC.
In 1990, because of his desire to give back to his region, Dr Farley left his position as Epidemiologist for the province of BC at the British Columbia Center for Disease Control where he was making great strides, to take up a position in the Caribbean region as Head of a special project on HIV/AIDS. This position was with the World Health Organization (WHO) /Pan American Health Organization. In this position Dr Farley was able to assist the local authorities with his experience in Epidemiology to control HIV throughout the Caribbean and Guyana. His next position was Chief of Surveillance for HIV/AIDS at the Bureau of HIV/AIDS, Ottawa where he was responsible for setting up an electronic based surveillance system for HIV/AIDS for all of Canada. Dr Farley was one of the doctors involved in assisting in the SARS outbreak in Toronto in 1988.
He now has his own busy Medical clinics in Vancouver and Abbotsford involved in treating and managing infectious diseases such as Hepatitis B and C and HIV. Dr Farley has also been the Infectious Diseases Consultant for Corrections Canada in the Pacific Region since 2000 where he goes into the Federal Correctional institutions to treat inmates, and has been in the forefront in the drive to eradicate Hepatitis c virus infection in the inmate populations.. He has done tremendous work helping those in Vancouver’s downtown east side and also those within and outside the prison system treating and raising awareness and prevention of Hepatitis B and C and co-infection with HIV/AIDS. He has pioneered the development of a project: The Inmate Community Health Reintegration Services (INCoHRS) In Vancouver, British Columbia to assist former prison inmates to access health care as they transition to and reintegrate into the community. His interest in medical informatics has led him to associate with a group of information technology experts. They have developed an electronic medical record system that is used in physicians’ offices in British Columbia. He has also spearheaded the development of a network of hepatitis treaters in BC.
Dr Farley’s dedication to the people of Guyana and the Caribbean region was further realized when he decided to assist the people of Guyana through the Canadian Society for International Health (CSIH). He travelled regularly to Guyana and the Caribbean assisting in their HIV control programs. He also contributed as a consultant for CSIH in enhancing the Diseases surveillance system at the Guyana Ministry of Health, and gave lectures to students involved in Health Care at the University of Guyana. . He has few family ties left in Guyana but he still returns to his birthplace in Rose Hall town Berbice, Guyana regularly to give back to the country of his birth. While in Guyana, Dr Farley has been offering free medical including blood pressure clinics and supplying free drugs and glucose kits to the people. On November 15, 2008, he was awarded a special recognition “For his Work, Dedication and Support Of Liver Health in Canada” by The Canadian Liver Foundation. He was the first president of the Guyana / Canada cultural association and has been working closely with the Congress of Black women since its inception.
He is married and has a twenty-one year old son.

Abina Gilbert founded The Share-On Project in January 2020, a charitable initiative that aims to relieve hunger in single-mother households in Linden, Guyana. As Founder she sets the strategic direction and is responsible for governance, oversight and ensuring appropriate operations and risk management practices are in place with an end-to-end business perspective.
Abina is a Board Director with Dress for Success Ottawa, served as President and Vice-President, Public Relations with local chapters for Toastmasters International, and is a former Big Sister with Peel Region, Ontario. She has been featured on The Nikki Clarke Show, The Let’s Talk Show – Linden TV, The Boundless Mindset Podcast, and received an acknowledgement as a LinkedIn Superhero by her peers.

Darren Jordan is a Toronto based finance professional. He currently serves as Director – Asset Liability Management at the Royal Bank of Canada. In his role, he manages interest rate risk related to mortgages, deposits and equity linked notes as well as advises on matters related to central bank interest rate policy. Prior to RBC, Darren worked in Institutional Asset Management.
Darren holds a Honors BSc, in Actuarial Science and Economics from the University of Toronto and a Financial Risk Management designation. Being from Guyana, Darren continues to stay involved in the country and the Caribbean Community at large by working on capacity building, financial literacy and stock ownership initiatives.

Princess Alexander is a versatile leader who advises boards and senior management across multiple sectors. She is a former Technology Executive and current President and Managing Partner of ALEXANDER LEARMOND, where she coaches and advises senior organizational leaders to strategically innovate, plan and implement sustainable enterprises. She has concurrently held roles as a lecturer in Entrepreneurship & Strategy with Ted Rogers School of Management, Ryerson University and a Social Enterprise Leadership Coach, with the J. W. McConnell Foundation’s, Innoweave Program, that fosters social innovation and large-scale impact through Canada’s social sector.
Ms. Alexander’s prior roles include a Partner, Orion Communications Inc., a women-led technology company and a General Manager with Bell Canada, Canada’s largest telecommunications company, where she championed growth and development for billion-dollar markets, launched multimillion-dollar ventures, led M&A acquisition integration, and business service continuity projects for mission critical international business. She has also held progressive and pioneering leadership positions with Bell Nexxia, Stentor Resources, and Telecom Canada.
An active community leader, she has served on not-for-profit and public-sector boards. As a two-term Governor of Sheridan College, technology member of the Small Business Agency of Ontario, a Lieutenant Governor in Council appointment, a Business Advocate Director of Peel Halton Workforce Development Group, one of 25 local boards in the Province of Ontario, funded by the Ministry of Training Colleges & Universities and Vice-Chair, Strategy & Entrepreneurship Program Advisory Council, Ted Rogers School of Management, Ryerson University. Princess is also an Ontario Volunteer Service Award recipient for her leadership work with Zonta International, an organization that advances the status of women and girls, globally, and a 2018 100 Accomplished Black Canadian Women Honouree.
Princess holds a Bachelor of Science Degree (Statistics) from Mc Master University, a Master of Mathematics Degree (Statistics) from the University of Waterloo, a Graduate Diploma Business Administration from the University of Ottawa, and a Queens University Executive Leadership Certificate. She characterizes her life’s values as humility, optimism, and persistence.

Mr Kanhai Singh
Mr Kanhai (Ken) Singh is President of Atlas International Freight Forwarding Inc., and Canadian Customs Brokers Inc. In 1996, he also founded and is the President of Cargo Partners Network (CPN), a worldwide freight association for the advancement of technology, security, and customs unification globally with representation in over 90 countries. He is a guest speaker across not only Canada but internationally on transportation, security, customs, and trade issues.
For over 40 years, Mr Singh has been actively involved in providing humanitarian and charitable relief all over the world. He served as Chair of the Advisory Council, York University, as well as the Humber College Advisory Council to implement a Degree Programme in International Trade and Logistics.
Mr Singh was born in Strangroen, East Coast Demerara in Guyana. He attended De Hoop Canadian Mission School. Following the completion of his secondary education at Tutorial High School in Georgetown, he then enrolled at the University of Guyana where he completed studies in Sociology and Psychology in 1976.
In Guyana, Mr Singh worked for British Airways. He left for Canada in 1977 and enrolled at York University, Toronto. In 1979, he earned a BA in Sociology and in 1981 he earned a BA in Business Administration.
He received the 2005 Businessman of the Year Award in Ottawa, Canada. This is in addition to other numerous awards and recognitions for his significant contribution to industry, trade, and charitable organisations.

Dr Joy Mighty recently retired from Carleton University in Ottawa Ontario Canada at the distinguished rank of Professor Emerita. She previously served as Carleton’s Associate Vice-President (Teaching and Learning) and later as Senior Scholar for Innovation in Teaching and Learning in the Office of the Provost and Vice-President (Academic), on secondment as a Full Professor from the Sprott School of Business and The Feminist Institute of Social Transformation (formerly The Pauline Jewett Institute of Women’s and Gender Studies), in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. Prior to her work at Carleton, Dr Mighty served as Director of the Centre for Teaching and Learning and Professor in the School of Business at Queen’s University. Before moving to Queen’s, she was the coordinator of the Teaching and Learning Centre at the University of New Brunswick (UNB), a professor in UNB’s Faculty of Business Administration, and Faculty Program Coordinator of the BBA Partnership Program between UNB and the Royal Bank Institute of Business and Technology (ROYTEC) in Trinidad and Tobago. While at UNB she also taught at the Sadat Academy of Management Sciences (SAMS) in Maadi, Cairo, Egypt and at ROYTEC in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad & Tobago.
Born in Georgetown Guyana, Dr Mighty has an eclectic academic background and a wealth of experience as an administrator, teacher, educational developer, researcher and consultant. After obtaining her B.A. (English) from the University of the West Indies in Jamaica, she began her career as an educator with a brief stint at her alma mater, Bishops’ High School, in Georgetown Guyana. She soon returned to Jamaica where she taught at Cornwall College and was one of seven co-founding “pioneer lecturers” at the Sam Sharpe Teachers College in Montego Bay. She resumed her studies at UWI where she obtained her Post-Graduate Diploma in Education, M.A. in Education, and Post-Graduate Diploma in Management Studies. Dr Mighty briefly left the field of education for the private sector, serving for three years as the Training Officer at the Jamaica National Building Society. This experience reaffirmed her passion for academia and she went on to earn her MBA from Howard University in Washington, D.C., and her Ph.D. in Organizational Behaviour from the Schulich School of Business at York University in Toronto, before settling into the academic community in Canada. Her special interests are organizational development and change, as well as equity, diversity and the scholarship of teaching and learning.
Dr Mighty was elected president of the Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (STLHE), inaugural chair of the Educational Developers Caucus, and Canada’s representative on the Council of the International Consortium for Educational Development. She helped launch the Canadian Journal for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (CJSoTL) and the Collected Essays on Learning and Teaching (CELT), and has served for decades as reviewer and editorial board member for several international journals. She has provided consulting services to private, public and not-for-profit organizations in Canada, the Caribbean, China, England, Germany, Japan, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, and the USA. In 2001, Dr Mighty was selected as New Brunswick’s representative on the Canadian National Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) Steering Committee for the NGO Forum at the United Nations World Conference Against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance (WCAR), held in Durban, South Africa. In 2018, she was selected by Academics Without Borders (AWB) to advise a newly-established university in Uganda on its strategic planning and implementation strategy. As a retiree, she chaired the STLHE Task Force on Equity, Diversity and Inclusion and currently serves on the AWB Board of Directors.
A frequently sought keynote speaker at regional, national, and international conferences, Dr Mighty has also published in various conference proceedings, journals and books. She is the co-editor of the highly acclaimed 2010 book “Taking Stock: Research on Teaching and Learning in Higher Education” and its 2022 follow-up publication “Taking Stock 2.0: Transforming Teaching and Learning in Higher Education”. Dr Mighty has received numerous awards for excellence in teaching, research, professional service and leadership, including: the first ever award for excellence in teaching at the Faculty of Business Administration at UNB; the Association of Atlantic Universities (AAU) Distinguished Service Award for “extraordinary service and professional leadership that contributed positively to faculty development in Atlantic Canada”; and the Emerald Literati Award of Excellence for best article published in the Journal of Management Development. She has been listed in both editions of Who’s Who in Black Canada: Black Success and Black Excellence in Canada – a Contemporary Directory. She has also been recognized by the New Brunswick Legislative Assembly for efforts to increase awareness of valuing diversity in New Brunswick, and by the New Brunswick Human Rights Commission for her contributions as a consulting expert on diversity to their Vision for Equality video series. In 2020, she was honoured with the Christopher Knapper Lifetime Achievement Award, a prestigious national award that recognizes the significant lasting contributions she has made throughout her career to post-secondary education in Canada and beyond.
